How to Install and configure WSUS in Windows Server 2012

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) enables information technology administrators to deploy the latest Microsoft product updates to computers that are running the Windows operating system. By using WSUS, administrators can fully manage the distribution of updates that are released through Microsoft Update to computers in their network.

In previous versions of Windows Server’s such Windows Server 2008 & Server 2008 R-2 need to download and install WSUS 3.0 SP2 manually. But in Windows Server 2012 WSUS installation is very easy. Just follow below steps to install and configure WSUS on your new Wndows Server 2012. No need to download WSUS application & its incorporated as server role in Windows Server 2012,

1. Open Server Manager

WSUS builds on SUS by expanding the range of software it can update. The WSUS infrastructure allows automatic downloads of updates, hotfixes, service packs, device drivers and feature packs to clients in an organization from a central server(s).
